Nigerian Gospel Reggae artiste, Buchi says he cannot afford to wait another three years to release his fifth album. Buchi told correspondent Johnson Ayedun that he has always been releasing his albums with an interval of three years, but would be breaking that when he drops his new album next year. British pop star, Natasha Bedingfield has been signed up to perform at next week's Nobel Peace Prize Concert. The singer has been added to the bill, which also includes Wyclef Jean, Westlife and Toby Keith. The concert, which will be hosted by actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, will be held in Oslo. The latest movies in the Jackass and Zombieland franchises will be filmed in 3D. Horror comedy Zombieland, starring Woody Harrelson, earned $85.2m worldwide and topped the US box office. Producer Gavin Polone said 3D technology would make a planned sequel a "more visceral experience". Coronation Street actress Maggie Jones, who played Blanche Hunt in the soap, has died in hospital at the age of 75. A spokeswoman for the ITV show said the star, who had been recovering from an operation in October, had "passed away peacefully" yesterday morning. William Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, said she was a "brilliant actress" who had an "amazing dry wit". Susan Boyle has topped the US charts, setting a first-week sales record for a female debut album. Record sales tracker Neilsen SoundScan said I Dreamed A Dream shifted 701,000 copies in the US in its first week. It is second only to Snoop Dogg's debut Doggystyle, which sold 803,000 in its first week in 1993. A portrait of a Venetian doge at a Ukrainian museum is a previously unidentified work by Titian, the museum's director has claimed. The portrait is among the collection at the Museum of Western and Eastern Art, in Odessa. Director Vladimir Ostrovsky said analysis by Russia's State Hermitage Museum had proved Titian's authorship. Police in southwest Ohio said a man was so angry that a park revoked his privileges that he destroyed the park gate with an assault rifle and an axe. Police said 23-year-old Michael Rosenbaum, of Cincinnati, was arrested on charges of vandalism and possession of criminal tools. Police said Rosenbaum lost his Grand Valley Preserve privileges after he ignored warnings to stop setting fires to keep warm while fishing. |
